A 10 minute leisurely stroll from Chateau Marconne is the beautiful town of Hesdin. The cobblestone streets lined with cafes and boutiques evoke a sense of nostalgia for a bygone era.

One of the highlights of a visit is to La Belle Epoque restaurant, a very pleasant, refined, 1900-style setting located in a pedestrian street facing the Canche.

Every Thursday from 8am - 1pm the town comes to life with a large street market, with clothing goods in the centre square, spilling out into all the surrounding side streets with fresh local produce for sale, such as fish and seafood, local fromageries, organic fruits and vegetables. Why not pick up a French specialty for lunch, rotisserie chicken with a serving of delicious roast potatoes.

The Opal Coast (Cote d’Opale)

The Opal Coast has 80 miles of beaches with the most popular beach side being Le Touquet-Paris-Plage and is approx 40 mins by car.
